TRAUMA & CRITICAL ILLNESS INSURANCE
This benefit provides a tax free lump sum should you be diagnosed with an illness or injury as described in the Insurance Companies Product Disclosure document (PDS).
The benefit pays a tax free lump sum on diagnosis irrespective of whether you are able or unable to continue your occupation.
Some illnesses covered include:
- Cancer
- Heart Attack
- Stroke
- and many others
You must refer to the PDS for all illness and injuries covered and for the relevant definitions and benefits.
The proceeds will enable you to fund:
1. Appropriate medical attention and associated expenses
2. The repayment of your mortgage and other liabilities
3. Provide a reserve in the event of long term illness
4. A shortfall in income, as income protection is based on a percentage of income
The premiums are not tax deductible as the benefits are tax free.
